6 Things To Do Instead of Dieting
I feel like dieting is as old as the world. It might be not exactly true, but I always see articles about dieting and how to lose weight. Then I tend to hear people talking about dieting and wanting to ‘tone down’ and lose weight every single day. I hear at work, in the tube, on TV and within my friend group. So it is all about that.
It is great that people want to work on themselves. It is great to look exactly the way you want to look. As a whole improving yourself in a positive direction is good. Buying that exact dress of your dreams and being a hot thing in it is a great feeling. I know it and many women will be able to relate to that. But no matter how great that is, do you think that dieting has become an obsession?
Probably there is a reason why we tend to hear about the dieting non stop. Maybe the population of the world a little obese or a little crazy? I think there dieting is good if you do it for a while, just to hit some goal weight or detox. But once it becomes a never ending obsession it is anything but good. I think that people should just know what to do, to make themselves feel better in their own skin. Because that is who we are and we are amazing, no matter of height, weight, hair color or anything particular for that matter. Just the fact that we cope with everything that life throws at us is enough to make us beautiful.
So instead of being obsessed about that next diet and always being on some diet tries some of the follow things (or them all together) and enjoy the results.
- Wear heels as often as possible
Have noticed how in the moment when you put your high heels you just instantly feel taller, slimmer and sexier? This is the powerful and amazing effect of the most hurting shoes possible to wear. I know that many women struggle with them. But the reality is that they do wonders. The walk of a woman who wear high heels is just more elegant and as a whole a woman who knows how to act and bring herself with elegance when in high heels is a very captivating woman. Imagine all the outfits you love with a pair of high heels? Do you love it already? That of course doesn’t mean that you need two dozen of high heeled shoes. You need the basics first and then you can build up once you make a habit of wearing them. Start with nude and black stilettos. Once you have those you can just go crazy or do whatever you like.
- Find your own style
Although that might be something that sounds impossible it is not! Many women already kind of have a signature style, but haven’t looked deeply into it. They buy clothes that have style resemblance, but don’t know that they actually are building something. So try to figure that out first. If you are not one of those people, try to find the style you really want to represent. The way you want to feel in your clothes is important to, because all of that sends a message. At the end of the day the whole things is not actually about the exact piece of clothing, but the vibe you give when you wear it. So make that vibe a positive and confident one. If you feel confident in your clothes, you will look that way. And that can’t happen if you have not found yourself.
- Wear sexy lingerie
Have you noticed how once you put your favorite bra and panties on you just feel like you are a Victoria’s secret model? I get that feeling and my body are far from it. But if you wear something that give you that feeling, in your own head you will be that model and then people will see you in another way. Once you have established what lingerie you feel the sexiest in, just by only that type. That way every time you get clothed you will be in your power and best game.
- Consider black tights
Most people and women either wear tights that look exactly the same as our skin or the total opposite – colorful ones. And that is good and can be fun and can make our outfits very different and distinctive. But have you ever worn black opaque tights? If no, it is about time. First of all they are the most stylish type of tights you can find. Especially the thicker ones. Then they make your legs so much thinner and longer that it is kind of unbelievable. If you have not tried them yet, once you do, you will know what I am talking about.
- Pay attention when dining
How do you dine? Most people (and I do it too – shame on me!) sit at a table and turn on the TV or play their favorite show on Netflix or something like that. Well nice. The atmosphere is great. But the effect of it all is anything but good for you. Once you are all into the thing you are watching (I for example love Suits) you totally forget about what is going on with that meal. I dine for as long as the episode is on. And I totally forget that I am eating, especially when there is a hasty fight between Harvey and someone else. And I have noticed how I totally overeat. And I know that most of us do. So you know what I mean by paying attention now? Just sit down, have calmly that meal, focus on it and enjoy it and then go watch your show or whatever.
- Try fat burners, not fats
Although there is fat in this whole thing, fat burners actually can do wonders for you. Once you know what to eat in order to take care of your body you will feel like you have eaten enough you will know it. But you won’t feel like everything you just ate will kill you because it was too much. Next time you are going grocery shopping go for those items: apples, olive oil, sunflower seeds, garlic, grapefruit, flax seeds, lecithin, berries (preferably blueberries, but any would work) and almonds. Those can be incorporate in many meals. Also you can munch on them every time you have a craving, without eating fats.
