#1 Find Your favorite type of liner
If you do not have any success with applying eyeliner, maybe the problem is not with you, but with the eyeliner that you use. There are 3 types of eyeliners: pencil, liquid, and gel eyeliners. Some women find applying pencil eyeliner easiest, because of the comfortable tool they are using. Other prefer to stay with the pencil liners, because they are soft, but unfortunately quite ofter the softer touch make them smear on your eyelids. The best thing for you to do is to try the three types of eyeliners and to find the one you are feeling most comfortable using.
#2 How to choose your eyeliner color
When most people think of eyeliners, they visualize the color black. Even if this is the most common eyeliner color, there are also many other eyeliners which, when applied on one’s eyelids have different effects. Check them out:
Black eyeliner – we begin, of course, with the most common color. The effect that black eyeliners have is to make one’s eyes bolder and more sexual. Strong black eyeliners are suitable for an evening makeup.
Brown eyeliner – if you choose to wear brown eyeliner, the effect that it will have is smokey, and yet subtle. It is suitable for everyday activities, because the change in colors between your skin color and the eyeliner is not so drastic, thus is has a subtler effect. And if you make a mistake while applying the eyeliner, it will not be that visible.
Lower White Eyeliner – you for sure have noticed women wearing lower white eyeliners. Or even some kinds of makeup, which include applying white eye pencil in the inner corner of the eyes. Applying white eyeliner under your eyes will make your eyes look bigger. You can try this trick if your eyes are smaller than the average size, or if you just want to make them brighter.
Blue, green, or purple eyeliner – if you are not afraid to apply colorful eyeliners then these colors are just for you. They will make your look fresher. What you need to remember is that you should not apply colorful eyeliner on both upper and lower lash lines, because it will be too much, and will appear more comical rather than trendy.
Glitter eyeliner – as you can imagine, this type of eyeliner is suitable for a night our, probably going to a club, because the effect of the glitter eyeliner is just sparkling. It is good to have such an eyeliner close by, but do not use it too often.
#3 Step by step applying eyeliner
As we mentioned earlier, a lot of women have problems with applying eyeliners. They either go too high, or do not cover all the lash lines, so there are some white spots left, or just smear it and do not make their eyes with the same eyeliner. Well, if you are one of these women, then you will be glad to learn this trick for applying the perfect eyeliner. You will need your favorite eyeliner and a piece of scotch tape.
Apply the tape following the end of your upper lash line. Then make a few dots along your upper lashline. After that you need to connect the dots and once you reach the scotch tape you can safely apply the eyeliner, because even if you do not make a straight line, the tape will serve you as a prop. And the result will be a perfectly straight eyeliner. Just leave it to dry a little before you move on to doing anything else to your eyes.
